"Little Buddha" Costume Pieces

Description

Acquired by the production for use in "Little Buddha" (1994). This lot consists of three (3) costume pieces from the film: a turban, a sari shirt, and women's top. All three items are richly detailed with exquisite embroidery.

Includes Planet Hollywood Certificate of Authenticity.

Mannequins not included.

Turban: Turban made of orange fabric with yellow and orange accents throughout. Fabric is pulled into a bulbous form at front. Black lining.

Sari Shirt: Red and yellow gold blouse from part of Indian Sari costume. Yellow gold embroidery of leaf diamonds throughout while edges of sleeves and neckline are lined with purple, orange, and gold ribbon. Blouse has short sleeves and is cropped at the midriff with silver floral clasp on proper left side that attach panels together. Edges of panels are diagonal and attach with eye and hook clasps and snap buttons.

Women's Top: Green women’s short sleeve shirt with gold diamond embroidery throughout. Shirt has long panel that extends down front. Collar, waist, and bottom of panel are lined with red, green, brown, and gold stripe of fabric with floral and leaf patterns. Shirt closes with Velcro on proper left side near bottom edge. 

Condition

Turban: Stains and snags throughout fabric.

Sari Shirt: Small hole on armpit of proper left sleeve. Embroidery is worn down on each side of front as well as the underside of the sleeves.

Women's Top: Shirt is wrinkled throughout due to improper storage. Small loose strands of string on edges of sleeves and bottom of shirt, collar, and front panel.
