"A Rage in Harlem" Imabelle's (Robin Givens) Costume

Description

Obtained by the production for use in "A Rage in Harlem" (1991) for Robin Givens' character "Imabelle." This is a four-piece ensemble consisting of a dress, a pair of gloves, a pair of shoes, and a purse.

Includes Planet Hollywood Certificate of Authenticity.

Mannequins not included.

Dress: Purple taffeta sleeveless dress with zipper closure on reverse.

Gloves: Purple crocheted gloves with crocheted flowers at wrists.  Stitches are open.  

Shoes: Purple satin, close-toed heels. Peacocks brand.

Purse: Purple satin purse with gold-toned metal chain strap. Purse has flap which folds over the front and closes with a snap. Cream vinyl lining on interior.

Condition

Dress: Small pinholes on reverse from display.

Gloves: The reverse of the right glove and the obverse of the left glove are heavily faded throughout

Shoes: Color is slightly faded on the front of the right shoe and on the top of the left shoe. Outsoles are intentionally distressed from use.

Purse: Exterior is extremely faded throughout with original color visible under flap. Obverse is faded to a light pink while reverse is a darker pink. Discoloration throughout chain.
